The Brothers Lounge opened in 1959 as an unpretentious neighborhood bar and eatery. It grew through the years as one of the most reliable spots in town to hear local blues talent and an occasional national act and participate in jam nights.
Shuttered in the late ’90s, the club was restored by new owners who bought the building in 2004. Today it has a casual pub, an intimate wine bar featuring mostly acoustic acts and a spacious music hall where bands of all types perform. There’s music almost every night of the week — from jazz to blues to reggae to rock.
Brothers’ menu caters to the more discerning tastes of today, with local produce and from-scratch preparations, while still retaining old-school comfort food favorites. Stop in for a full meal or a nosh.
