Corbo’s Bakery

Everyone raves about the cassata cake — yellow cake with custard and strawberry filling — from Corbo’s Bakery, even celebrity chef Mario Batali. But that’s just the beginning of the treats you’ll find at the heritage family bakery, opened in 1948. They’ve got cases full of biscotti, spumenti, macaroons, and other sweet treats, and even ordinary — but freshly baked — loaves of bread. If you can’t get down to their expanded quarters in Little Italy, stop by your local Marc’s, which carries a selection of their products.
