Roberta Flack won an unprecedented two GRAMMY Awards back to back for Record of the Year in 1972 & 1973 for “The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face” and “Killing Me Softly With His Song.”

Cool Cleveland spoke with Ms. Flack in an exclusive telephone interview in which they discussed her background as the youngest-ever music student at the prestigious Howard University, the importance of arts education, and how she felt when The Fugees covered her massive hit “Killing Me Softly,” and updated it for the Hip-Hop generation.
