Heights Arts Shows Work of Six Local Abstract Artists

Work by Mark Keffer

Through Sun 5/16

Heights Arts accepts and reviews submissions from artists all year, and one of the results of that selection process by its Exhibition Community Team is Group Show 2021, showcasing five artists who work in painting, sculpture and mixed media, with abstraction as a unifying theme.

This year’s show features both well-known artists and ones who will be discoveries to most viewers. They include painter Julie Friedman, Paula Izydorek who works in acrylic on birch panels, noted area painter Mark Keffer, Alessandro Ravagnan who creates sculptural membranes in mylar and human/animal hybrid figures by Dante Rodriguez.

In addition, the Heights Arts gallery is currently showing colorful abstract paintings by Bernadette Glorioso inspired by nature in the Metroparks around her hoe.

The show will be on view through Sunday May 16. Heights Arts is open 1-7pm Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Monday, and Sunday from noon-5pm.
