Cleveland’s scrappy little Blank Canvas Theatre, which performs at 78th Street Studios, has been presenting its ingenious adaptation of live performing throughout the pandemic. It’s offered a series of drive-in shows, where audiences watch from the building’s spacious parking lot while the performers appear in the oversized windows of the building’s first-floor smARTspace.
Its next such show is called A Night of Joy & Inspiration. The 60-minue show, performed without intermission, will feature songs “focusing on the optimistic outlook and hope that we are finally moving towards a life of normalcy.” The show includes a full band behind the performers, and lighting and projections to enhance their performances (and a late start time to give the special effects some impact).
