Photo Cleveland is a new nonprofit, formed this summer by former Cleveland Photo Fest director Jim Szudy and Cara Gaetano, to promote photo-based exhibitions, special events and educational opportunities.
It’s opening its first show this week, titled Ghost Cities: Documenting Decay, taking place at the Brownhoist. They put out a call for entries over the summer, looking for work that focused on urban abandonment, of which Cleveland has a lot! They say that the show will feature work by more than 50 photographers and filmmakers.
You can get a first look at the show when Photo Cleveland hosts an opening reception this Saturday. It’s free and open to the public. Learn more here.
