Bassist Stu Hamm has played with some of the most noted names in instrumental rock guitar — Steve Vail, Joe Satriani, Greg Howe. That should give you some idea of the level he’s on. Inspired by groundbreaking jazz players like Stanley Clarke and the late Jaco Pastorius, he developed himself into a virtuoso equal to the guitarists he’s played with.
When he brings his Stu Hamm Trio to Nighttown it will feature another of rock’s outstanding players — Alex Skolnik, known for his membership in seminal speed metal band Testament. They’ll be rounded and matched by drummer Joel Taylor, who in the last three decades, has played with artists such as Stanley Clarke, Allan Holdsworth, Al Dimeola, Andy Summers and Robben Ford.
