The Main Street Kent Association has been hosting a slew of fun events to attract people to the awesome downtown Kent business district. Throughout the year, they host several unique experiences (street fairs, live music, sidewalk cinema, festivals, etc.) in the charming downtown area. There’s always something fun to do in our cool neighborhood of Kent! The next event is a Valentine’s Day Chocolate Walk collecting delicious chocolate treats from neighborhood businesses.
Referred to as an adult “trick-or-treat”, the afternoon will spent shopping, visiting with local shop owners and collecting / eating chocolate delicacies. For just $20, you can have a sweet afternoon supporting local businesses, satisfying your sweet tooth and spreading the love! On the day of the event, bring your tickets to Earl’s Nest (in Acorn Alley), pick up your supplies (bag, map, “pass,” etc.) and be on your way.
All participants will be entered to win a pair of “cocoa” diamond earrings from Standing Rock Jewelers. Drawing will take place at Standing Rock Jewelers at 4:00pm the day of the event. Ticket holder need not be present to win.
And the day doesn’t have to end at 4PM! The Kent State University Hotel and Conference Center is offering a romantic getaway package for you and your sweetie! Overnight accommodations include a King or Double Guestroom, a bottle of wine, a gourmet cheese, a fresh fruit display upon arrival and hotel parking!
