PHOTOSTREAM: Waterloo Brew Opens for October Walk All Over Waterloo

Fri 10/3

The big news at this month’s Walk All over Waterloo was the long-anticipated opening of Waterloo Brew, which has taken over space in the Slovenian Home. Despite the rainy weather, the bar was packed all night for the “soft opening,” even though the kitchen wasn’t quite ready yet. People enjoyed the drinks and the music spun by DJ Lawrence Daniel Caswell. Some of us even got a tour of the basement bocce courts, where Waterloo Brew is going to start leagues shortly.

Elsewhere on the street, Gallery One Sixty opened Tim Joyce’s show of painted found artifacts that filled every corner of the gallery, Waterloo Arts opened a show of Martha Ferrazza’s vivid “Oleander” paintings,” and the must-see Amy Casey/Cathie Bleck show continued at the Maria Neil Art Project. The Very Knees played in the front window of Music Saves record store since the rain brought the music inside from the alley. As always, cats were available for petting at Blue Arrow Records.
