Mike’s Barn is known for its rustic, intimate shows conducive to serious music enjoyment. Mike’s Barn founder Mike Yates has moved his shows to different facilities since the original barn closed last year, but he’s retained the vibe. He’s bringing back a Mike’s Barn favorite, legendary British finger-style guitarist Adrian Legg, to the Harmony Barn in LaGrange in Lorain County.
Legg’s one of those guitar wizards who’s never let the confines of a band clip his musical wings. A solo artist for more than 40 years, he’s built a career strictly on his reputation as a player not bound by a specific genre. But he’s made opportunities for himself: to perform, record, teach, design equipment, write and even be a commentator on NPR’s All Things Considered. He’s currently touring with a brand new album Dead Bankers. He’s sure to take the audience on quite a musical journey.
Crispin Swank, a classically trained guitarist from Oberlin College, will open with his band, along with guitarist Todd Allen.
