Legendary feminist and sociopolitical activist Gloria Steinem will kick off the Town Hall of Cleveland at Case Western University speaker series. This woman is a powerhouse and hasn’t yet slowed down in her fight against inequality.
Not only has she helped to found the National Women’s Political Caucus, Choice USA, and Take Our Daughters to Work Day, she’s also been a member of the Beyond Racism Initiative, a three-year effort to compare racial patterns of South Africa, Brazil and the United States and is currently working with the Sophia Smith Collection at Smith College on a project to document the grassroots origins of the U.S. women’s movement. Guaranteed to inspire.
