If you’ve been to a recent show at the Cleveland Print Room, you’ve already seen their photo booth right inside the front door, one of those old-fashioned things that were once a fixture at variety stores like the now defunct Woolworth’s chain.
But now they’re throwing a party to officially declare it open for business. There will be food, plus bring a dish to share for potluck. There will be dancing as Tania and Shouting Thomas Torment spin R&B, soul, garage, and rockabilly singles. There will be the opportunity to meet the Cleveland Print Room’s newly arrived artist-in-residence from Chile, Pablo Serra Marino, who is in town for a three-month stay.
And of course, there will be the opportunity to have your photo taken in the photo booth. Costumes and props will be on hand if you feel like getting crazy. For $3 you take home one of those four-photo strips.
The Print Room’s current show Lost & Found of found snapshots continues through 9/20.
