Old-time music, the kind of backwoods country music made by people on their front porches, cries out for participation. If you’ve got a guitar, fiddle, banjo, or mandolin lying around and you’ve got the urge to get social with it, head over to Serendipity on Lee Road where there’ll be an old-time pickin’ session going on.
It’s beginner-friendly; while some of the faster tunes might go past you, the organizers say “If you don’t know a tune- pick up what you can. People are all at different levels.” There will be light refreshments and time to make friends too.
It’s free.
