Arnold McCuller is one of those guys you see standing at a mic at the back of the Blossom stage, providing vocal harmony counterpoint to starts like James Taylor and Phil Collins. Often, at some point in the show, the headliner will drop out for a minute and defer to that soaring voice emanating from the rear.
McCuller has done time with Collins and Taylor (he’s been with Taylor for 30 years), as well as Linda Ronstadt, Luther Vandross, Bonnie Raitt, Diana Ross, Lionel Richie, and many others — while simultaneously maintaining a low-profile solo career for the last three decades.
McCuller was also born and raised here in Cleveland, before heading to New York to launch his professional career. He’ll be back home to perform a full evening of music in which HE is the star — so you can see exactly what it is that impressed all those big names.
