Let’s talk reparations. Ta-Nehisi Coates — an American writer, journalist and educator who currently serves as a senior editor and blogger for The Atlantic — has brought up a long dormant issue in his recent Atlantic article, “The Case for Reparations.”
How can we repay African Americans for a “system of institutional racism that’s robbed them of wealth and success for generations?” Coates has a plan to correct some of the damage done. Hear him deliver the Annual Eugene H. Freedheim Lecture at the 72nd Annual Human Services Institute at the City Club, brought to you by the Center for Community Solutions and the City Club of Cleveland.
