Floating Music Party Roar Along the Shore Returns

Fri 9/5 @ 8PM-midnight

Roar Along the Shore has become one of the most eagerly anticipated parties of the year. It features a bunch of the best local indie rock bands on two stages aboard the Goodtime III and 800 revelers, cruising the lake and getting a spectacular view of the city skyline, with beer available at multiple bars.

Roar was conceived in 2011 by Danielle DeBoe Harper, creator of boutiques Room Service and Dredger’s Union before moving on to start her event-planning business. The level of talent she snags, combined with the fun environment, has made this an in-demand ticket from the start.

That should be no different this year. One of the area’s fastest rising bands and biggest draws, Wesley Bright & the Hi-Lites (pictured), headlines. The bill also features aggressive rockers All Dinosaurs, the classic rock-influenced Suede Brothers, the relatively new Nowhere who are just making an impression in the local music scene, and a very veteran band the Stereo Workers Union.

There’ll be food trucks at the dock before and after to take care of your hunger whenever it strikes, and there’ll be live dockside entertainment as well.

Tickets are $32, and you should snag them as soon as you read this. None are available at the dock, so go here to do so.
