Cleveland Favorite Southside Johnny at the Hard Rock Rocksino

Sun 8/24 @ 7:30PM

What more is there to say about Southside Johnny & the Asbury Jukes, Cleveland favorites for nearly four decades now? This area was one of the first outside of their native New Jersey to embrace to horn-driven white R&B band, fronted by the recklessly passionate Southside Johnny Lyon, when their 1976 debut album I Don’t Want to Go Home was released.

The years have flown by, and Lyon is the only original Juke still in the group. But their music, which was timeless and out of time in 1976, is exactly the same. And Lyon, who looked like your dad back in 1976 when he was 27, still looks pretty much the same.

You’ll most likely hear a couple of tunes from their debut album when they play at the Hard Rock Rocksino, as well as tunes from the many, many albums they’ve released since.

Tickets are $25-$57.50.
