One of local jazz/pop vocalist Tara Hawley’s specialties is the music of Burt Bacharach, silken confections like “The Look of Love” and “Walk On By” that defined the more sophisticated, adult side of ’60s music. Back then, they seemed to trifle corny to rock & rollers cranked up on the Beatles, the Stones and the Who, but these caressing tunes have stood the test of time.
Hawley will be performing selections from the Bacharach songbook at Nighttown, backed by a trio of stellar area musicians: pianist Matt Skitzki, bassist Alan Gleghorn, and drummer Ricky Exton.
