The Fashion Week Cleveland 10-year anniversary celebration closed with sophisticated flair on Sat 6/7/14. A sold-out house of business leaders and fashion enthusiasts dressed to the “tens” to enjoy an elegant evening at Downtown Cleveland’s landmark Arcade.
The introduction to the designer runway shows included a performance by the Cleveland Pops Orchestra’s founder and clarinetist, Carl Topilow. Fashion Week Cleveland CEO and Founder Donald Shingler welcomed guests with a message that emphasized the significance of cultivating a thriving retail economy in the city. His words were echoed by brief comments delivered by developer Richard Pace, who is responsible for the renovation of the retail corridor at The Fifth Street Arcades.
The milestone occasion was marked by the presentation of 10 designers who showed more than 100 looks for women, men and children. The names on the catwalk ranged from celebrity stylist Patrick T. Cooper (PTC Resort Collection) to veteran fashion design icon Jae Jarrell (Gents Vintage) and luxury men’s wear designer Berny Martin (Catou) to debut talents such as 22-year-old Jamie Seel (Jamie Seel Brand) and 19-year-old Kalli Rae Sternberg (Kallie Raes Clothing).
