Season Starts for @NUFarmersMarket @CrockerPark

Sat 4/12 @ 9AM-1PM

The second of the North Union Farmers Markets to open for the season is the one at Crocker Park. Located in front of Dick’s Sporting Goods at the Westlake “lifestyle center,” the market will feature the array of locally grown, raised, and manufactured products people have come to expect from the North Union Markets, all from growers and makers whose enterprises have been visited and approved by market officials.

There may not be much growing there year, but you can also get a look at something that makes the Crocker Park Market unique in the area: their urban garden. It incorporates a variety of sustainable practices, including a green roof, rainwater collection and organic compost.

Other North Union locations will open in June, but for now Crocker Park and Shaker Square will be in full swing every Saturday morning, with an increasing range of produce as the harvest starts coming in.
