Northeast Ohio burlesque troupe Le Femme Mystique — the group that really fired up the burlesque revival in Cleveland — is celebrating its tenth anniversary. In that time, the group has assembled dozens of entertaining shows packed with burlesque performers, singers, magicians, puppeteers, and comedians from across the country and even abroad.
For its “Ten Years of Tease” show at the Beachland Ballroom, the group has put together another show packed with talent. The Femme Mystique ladies — founder/promoter Bella Sin, Eliza Sidecar, Twiggy Stardust, Ava Adore, Doll Bambino, and belly dancer Maharitti — will be joined by guest stars Miss Pussycat, Mabel Syrup (pictured above), and Luna Legare from Michigan.
Lady J Martinez will do drag performance, while Quinn Boyleston will offer something for the ladies and gay men —and there are sure to be a lot of both in attendance. Students from the Cleveland Burlesque Academy make their debut so you may see a star of the future.
The evening’s hosts are Sonshine La Ray and Abby Downton, and Cleveland’s irrepressible Lounge Kitty will open the evening with a set of her campy, retro music.
It’s a primarily seated, general admission show with tickets going for $15 in advance, $18 day of show. A $20 VIP ticket gets you a reserved seat, a promotional poster for the show, and a photo meet-and-great with the cast.
