If you were a Cleveland rock and roll devotee in the early ’80s, you recall the market domination by the Michael Stanley Band who, in 1982, sold out Blossom Music Center four nights. No one’s done that before or since.
Maybe you were there. Maybe you even met your mate there or proposed to her on the lawn. If you have fond romantic memories of those nights, you can relieve them again when Michael Stanley and his current band the Resonators (which feature ex-MSB drummer Tom Dobeck, keyboard player Bob Pelander, and guitarist Danny Powers, who joined in 1983) headline the Hard Rock Rocksino stage.
And for a real nostalgic flashback, they’ll have the same opening act they had at Blossom in 1982 — western Pennsylvania’s Donnie Iris and the Cruisers, another big area favorite of that era.
