Big Sandy Will Rock the House @BeachlandBallroom

Mon 2/3 @ 8PM

Big Sandy & His Fly Rite Boys make yet another of their frequent Cleveland stops as they go into their 26th year together.

The Southern California group is primarily known for its live shows, in which it can pull out the stops on its high-energy blend of rockabilly, western swing, classic soul, honkytonk country and good old rock and roll.

In fact, for this band, studio recordings are almost an afterthought. Last August, in celebration of their 25th anniversary, they put out their first album since 2006 (although they did release a “best of” in 2011) called What a Dream It’s Been. And even that album simply consisted of acoustic reworkings of their favorite tunes from their song list.

Don’t expect acoustic reveries when they return to the Beachland Tavern though. This evening will be all about rocking out and filling the dance floor. DJs Hot Trash, Josh Wolfboy Ryan will spin before the show and DJ Mr. Fishtruck will close the night for those who want to keep on partying.

Admission is $12.
