Baroque Chamber Ensemble Les Délices Recreates an 18th-Century Paris Salon in Two Concerts

Sat 2/1 @ 8PM

Sun 2/2 @ 4PM

Cleveland chamber ensemble Les Délices, which specializes in French baroque music, is one busy little group these cold winter days.

Recently back from concerts in Pennsylvania and West Virginia, it’s launching immediately into its next concert series, called Conversations Galante. It aims to expose music lovers to something different than the standard repertoire — obscure instrumental pieces popular in Paris Salons in the mid-18th century. Compositions by Louis-Gabriel Guillemain, Jean-Marie Leclair, François-André Philidor, and Jean-Phillippe Rameau are on the program.

They’ll play it twice in the Cleveland area:
Saturday at the Tregoning & Company Gallery in the 78th Street Gallery building, and Sun at the Plymouth Church in Shaker Heights.  They’ll be taking the program to New York City in March, but you can hear it first!

Tickets are $25-$35.
