Vernon Jones Blues Cartel Hosts Jam @BeachlandCLE

Sun 12/29 @ 7PM

There’ll be a whole lotta blues at the Beachland Tavern when the Vernon Jones Blues Cartel and Bobby Ray and Night Train host their Very Merry Christmas Blues Jam there.

Jones drummed for the legendary Robert Lockwood Jr for 20 years,  later forming his own band. Ray sings and plays guitar for his longtime classic rock/blues band Night Train.

They’ve got a stellar list of area musicians lined up to play. It includes Marvin Braxton of Crazy Marvin & the Blues Express, “Cleveland’s Queen of the Blues” Miss Butterscotch, guitarist Chip Fitzgerald who once played with The Case of E.T. Hooley, Blue Lunch singer/guitarist Bob Franks, guitarist Luther Tramell, harmonica player Jarred Goldweber, jack-of-all-genres sax player Norman Tischler, and special guest singer/harmonica player Wallace Coleman, who with Lockwood passed on is probably the area blues scene’s most venerable presence, with international touring and acclaim on his resume.

Admission is $10.
