Once upon a time the Casual Fools were a Cleveland motorcycle club.
In the last couple of years, they’ve been a new garage punk band from the mean streets of Solon, who credit a host of classic college radio favorites like Husker Du, the Pixies, the Replacements and Teenage Fanclub as influences, along with the usual litany of punk progenitors like the Velvet Underground, the MC5 and the Stooges.
Now they’re doing a punk thing: they’re releasing a three-song 7” vinyl record and tossing themselves a release party at the Grog Shop. They’re doing another punk thing too. They’ve announced it’s the band’s “funeral,” their final show.
So they’ll cut you a deal. Pre-order your $5 ticket and a $5 7” and they’ll give you a copy of their CD or one of their t-shirts for free. They clearly don’t want all that merch sitting in the corner of someone’s living room for the next five years.
The Solar Pilots are also on the bill.
