If you’re Jewish, Chinese food isn’t your only option in Cleveland on Christmas.
Cleveland swing/jump/blues ensemble Blue Lunch has made a tradition of their annual holiday latke party at the Beachland Ballroom. A latke, for those who don’t know, is a potato pancake, and they are addictive. They’ll be on the Beachland menu for you to order between turns on the dance floor to the equally addictive music of this swingin’ eight-piece band, only some of whom are Jewish.
A couple of local bluesmen — singer/guitarist Austin “Walkin’ Cane” Charanghat and singer/harmonica player Jake Friel — open the show, a benefit for the ALS Association Northern Ohio Chapter.
Tickets are $10 in advance, $15 at the door.
