A Christmas show may not be as much of a natural for Cleveland “occult punk” band American Werewolves as the “Halloween of Hate” show they did at Now That’s Class back in October. But if Misfits-influenced horror punk is your idea of a good time, these guys are headlining an “X-Mess” Christmas Day bill at the Grog Shop.
They’ve been working on new material and are promising to have it available to fans looking to give themselves a Christmas present.
American Werewolves will be joined by three other, very diverse, area purveyors of heavy music: Kirtland-based doom metal band Venomin James, who’ve just released a new single “33rd Degree,” Free Medicine, one of those industrial/punk/ electronic/etc basically one-man projects, formed a little over a year ago by singer/multi-instrumentalist Tim Long (he also brings along a drummer), and pop-leaning punk quintet Lawskof.
Admission is $5. You can spare that out of your Christmas money.
