There’s another big party coming up at Touch Supper Club, brought to you by the folks from Sanctuary Cleveland, who host monthly first parties there. Afrobeat will be the main sound, with both live and recorded music.
The live sounds will be provided by Fiscal Splitt, led by percussionist/drummer Neil Chastain, who has been part of some of Cleveland’s most adventurous musical and performance arts ensembles of the last two decades.
The group includes members of the area’s lively, body-rocking Revolution Brass Band. And for this event, they’ll be joined by vocalists Mariama Whyte and Replife to help flesh out their renditions of tunes by the father of Afrobeat, Fela Kuti, and others.
DJs Red-I and Eso will also be on hand to spin Afrobeat, soul, funk, hip-hop, reggae, and house tracks so you can dance from the time the music starts at 10pm until it winds down at 2am.
Cover is $10.
