Sat 10/12 @ 1:30 – 4:30pm
Meet cool people, get to know a great local organization and take a leisurely bike ride. What better way to spend your day? Join up with ClevelandGives, an org centered on young professional volunteerism, as they explore Ohio City Bicycle Co-op.
They say: You’ve seen the surge of two-wheeled commuters zooming about town. And, you’ve seen the new bike lanes being marked and built. Biking is gaining popularity, and for good reason: it’s good clean fun, it’s healthy, and it saves you cash at the pump. No spandex required.
The Ohio City Bicycle Co-op helps people use bikes. And, ClevelandGives has partnered with them for their Fall event. Whether you’re thinking about getting your first bike or you’re an avid rider, this event is for you.
Radlers (biker-friendly beer + soda beverages) and snacks will be provided by our friends at Whole Foods Market. We’ll hear about the work done by OCBC from director Jim Sheehan, learn how to change a flat tire, volunteer in small groups, and take a bike tour of the flats. The after-party will be at Nano Brew — they’ve offered us some sweet drink specials.
