Cleveland’s bludgeoning hardcore/metal quintet Ringworm has been making ears bleed for over 20 years. The continuity amid countless personnel changes has been relentless frontman James Bullock aka the Human Furnace.
Newly signed to Relapse Records after a 10-year stint with Chicago-based punk label Victory that ended acrimoniously, the band’s just releases a three-song 10” called Bleed. It features two brand new songs plus a cover of ’80s metal/punk crossover pioneers Discharge’s “The Nightmare Continues.” It’s a preview of their new album, The Hammer of the Witch, due on Relapse early next year.
Meanwhile, they’re on a short tour promoting the EP, with Howl and Call of the Void opening. It winds up at Annabell’s in Akron.
