Hudson is known for having excellent school systems, tree-lined streets and brick buildings that give the city a small-town historic feel. It’s also home to dozens of local businesses that provide unique services and host all kinds of events. It’s a beautiful place to shop, dine, play or just hang out.
Community members take the sustainability of their city seriously. In 2002, Hudson was the first city in the country to launch a citywide electronic gift card that recipients could use only in town to keep shopping dollars within the independent merchants in town.
Shortly after, a number of volunteers started up the Hudson Farmers Market, which takes place every Saturday just below the landmark clock tower downtown where local farmers can sell their goods directly to the community.
