Devil Doll Gets Back to Her Roots at the Beachland

Sat 8/17 @ 9PM

Clevelander Colleen Duffy fell in love with the whole “psychobilly” movement — the unholy mixture of rockabilly and punk pushed to the edge of the cliff — back in the ’80s.

In the early ’90s, she had a college radio show on WRUW 91.1 FM dedicated to the genre.

In the mid ’90s she moved on, first to New York and later Los Angeles. In the process, she became Devil Doll, the embodiment of her musical passions.  She’s performed with punk acts like the Cramps and Social Distortion, appeared with burlesque troupe, and graced the cover of International Tattoo Art Magazine, embracing the full range of punkabilly culture.

Her bio describes her as a “punk rock torch singer.” She’s certainly red hot.

She’ll be at the Beachland Ballroom with Cleveland’s 45 Spider.

Tickets are $10.
