Cleveland folk/art pop-rock ensemble The Lighthouse and the Whaler have been making quite a splash the last few years, touring extensively and garnering heaps of laudatory press.
Starting with their self-titled 2009 debut, they’ve stretched out beyond their home base to build their reputation. They followed that album with last year’s This Is An Adventure, which earned them even more opportunities to tour, showcase, and play festivals.
When they headline the latest chapter in Bad Racket Recording’s summer series, they’ll have just returned from yet another tour swing that took them from Toronto through Boston, Philly and New York, south to Atlanta and Nashville and up north again to Chicago.
This time, the show’s at the BuckBuck Gallery, near Bad Racket’s own home on Lorain Road in Ohio City. Columbus folk-pop duo Maza Blaska opens.
