Cleveland’s favorite outdoor summer parties get underway this week, when the Wade Oval Wednesdays series at University Circle starts its two-and-a-half month weekly run.
Providing the music for the opener is R&B/Motown band the Chozen Few Band. You’ll also find food stands dishing up treats from local chefs and farmers.
And with the museums that ring the Oval — the Cleveland Museum of Art, Cleveland Botanical Garden, and the Cleveland Museum of Natural History — all open late on Wednesdays (the art museum and garden until 9; CMNH until 10), you can work in a visit to one of these institutions.
WOWs run through 6-9 pm every Wednesday through August 28, with monthly movie nights that feature a film starting at 9 following the band. It’s free.
