Two ’70s icons will be at the Kent Stage to help celebrate its 11th anniversary. Rita Coolidge, whose pure soprano backed a host of artists including Joe Cocker, Leon Russell, and Steve Stills, had a string of hits in the late ’70s with her dreamy covers of tunes like Boz Scaggs’ “We’re All Alone” and a remake of the Temptations hit “The Way You Do the Things You Do.” John Ford Coley was part of the duo England Dan and John Ford Coley, best known for their lush, lilting hits “I’d Really Love to See You Tonight” in 1976 and “We’ll Never Have to Say Goodbye Again” in 1978.
Tickets are $30-$40.
