For ten years, Cleveland Heights’ B-Side Liquor Lounge, nestled underneath the Grog Shop, has been a mainstay in the local DJ/dance scene. It won’t be shedding that identity entirely. But by the end of March, it expects to assume another one, as the B-Side Liquor Lounge and Arcade.
“We will still have DJs on the weekends, but our new focus will be classic arcade games,” says Brad Petty akaMrBradleyP, the club’s manager and popular DJ around town. “The bar is being completely remodeled and outfitted with 30 games ranging from classics like Pac Man and Donkey Kong to bowling and pinball machines.” The club is also revamping its cocktail menu and adding some light eats, “like frito pies (a popular street food in Austin), gourmet pop corn and fried pickles.”
Petty says that as soon as they get the permits from the city, they’ll close for a couple of weeks for construction.
“We will definitely be having a grand opening as soon as we get a better grasp of construction timeline,” he says. “If everyone goes according to my plans, we will have closing party within a week and then grand opening at end of March.”
