Cleveland’s Metropolitan Theatre –the building housing the Agora — is turning 100. So let’s party. Henry (Hank) LoConti, Sr. opened the first Agora on February 27, 1966 and never dreamed the Agora would become the legendary rock club it is today.
Celebrate rock history and join 87.7 Cleveland’s Sound, The Rock Hall and MidTown Cleveland for a special evening to “Thank Hank,” a “roasting/toasting” by Terry Stewart on behalf of Hank LoConti followed by a “never before seen or heard” concert event featuring Foghat, Glass Harp, members if the James Gang, Freddie Salem (formerly of The Outlaws), Jimmy Ley, Alan Greene Band, Bootsy Collins, Unsaid Fate and other surprises.
Concert tickets are $48. Tickets to the pre-party VIP event are $200 and include valet parking, cocktail reception and photo ops, in addition to the “roasting/toasting” and concert. All net proceeds to benefit MidTown Cleveland, Inc. for restoration of the landmark Agora theatre.
