On Thu 2/14, Bill Kitson, United Way of Greater Cleveland president & CEO, testified at the US House of Representatives Ways and Means Committee hearing on tax reform and charitable contributions. He spoke on the importance of preserving the charitable tax deduction and emphasized the important role charitable giving plays in strengthening communities throughout the nation.
The congressional hearing, called by Rep. Dave Camp (R-MI), stems from proposed tax reform to reduce the nation’s deficit. Kitson testified with 12 other local United Way CEOs from around the country and United Way Worldwide CEO Brian Gallagher.
