Trepanning Trio isn’t quite like anyone else in Cleveland. Its instrumental music is made on an eclectic orchestra of classical, folk, homemade, and sometimes unique instruments. Although bands’ own descriptions of their music can get a tad fey, this group’s self-depiction as “alt-classical, postminimal, avant-garde with the hummability of folk music” is probably as close as you’re going to get.
And they’re not actually a trio; the number of players varies with the occasion. They’ll perform from 7:15-9:45 at Tremont’s Visible Voice Books where you can buy a glass of wine to sip while you listen. It’s free.
