Swing in. This concert put on by the Cleveland Jazz Orchestra (CJO) is all in tribute to the legacy of Thelonious Monk, an infamous jazz musician from North Carolina who died in 1982. Monk’s style of playing was very loose and involved mostly improvisations. Some hits that will be played will include “Bye Ya,” “Straight, No Chaser” and “Round Midnight.”
Held at Playhouse Square. Tickets can range anywhere from $25-$45. Tickets can be purchased online, and should be purchased soon because this is a one night only event.
