Cleveland’s patron saint Ian Hunter spent a few days in the Rock and Roll Capital helping to launch a new organization, Cleveland Rocks: Past, Present and Future (wonder where they got that name?), dedicated to supporting and preserving Cleveland’s popular music culture. Hunter has received the key to the city of Cleveland more than once.
The town where where the term “Rock and Roll” was invented by DJ Alan Freed, where the first rock concert took place, and where the one and only Rock and Roll Hall of Fame stands, is still mourning the passing of music industry legend Steve Popovich, who worked with dozens of major acts and managed Ian Hunter and released his most successful album, “Your Never Alone With A Schizophrenic,” featuring the massive hit and hometown anthem, “Cleveland Rocks.”

Very interesting interview. Going to see IH play in Glasgow next week. 1st time I saw him was with MTH in Edinburgh in 1973. This new album is brilliant!
