The Time to Fight For the West Shoreway is NOW

Last Thursday’s public meeting regarding the West Shoreway Project was packed. The meeting was a rally cry of sorts where city officials encouraged the general public to challenge ODOT’s decision to scrap the bike- and pedestrian-friendly parts of their plan. (Basically, ODOT is determined to leave the W Shoreway as a freeway when its original plans would have greatly improved lakefront access for residents.) GreenCityBlueLake covered the event here. On Thu 12/15 a busload of people are headed to Columbus to attend a TRAC meeting at ODOT. Will their voices be heard? Are Cleveland politicians generally concerned about this issue?
