Who we are: Ohio’s 2010 Census demographic profile

Who are we? The U.S. Census Bureau knows what we’re all about. They just releases 2010 Census demographic profiles for Ohio and several other states. The profiles show that Ohio’s population has aged over the last decade, the number of single-parent households has increased and the rate of home ownership has decreased. Data below.

Ohio:

The median age was 38.8.
The average household size was 2.44 people per household.
Among the state’s occupied housing units, 67.6 percent were owned, compared with 32.4 percent that were rented.
