Check out Shake It Up & Move — Cle’s newest rock dance party @ the 5 O’Clock Lounge in Lakewood. Free music! (Good stuff, too!)

Read:

This free event will feature live music and DJs playing records between bands, with a focus on primitive and traditional rock’n’roll.

March 11th’s debut lineup will be a one man band theme, including local acts Shouting Thomas Torment, Wolfboy Slim and his Dirty Feets and Miss Firecracker One Woman Band. Working the turntables in between bands will be seasoned DJs Kitty B. Shake (France) and Erin, who hosts the WCSB 89.3fm show “Hot Trash” on Tuesday nights.

Inspired by the teen dance culture of the fifties and sixties, Shake it up and Move! will present an experience where rock’n’roll takes center stage. Attendees are encouraged to take to the dance floor, or to simply sit back and enjoy the music. A central goal is to create a laid-back atmosphere where guests can be turned on to new sounds, support live music as an art form, and mingle with friends in a familiar and comfortable setting.
