Fri 4/15 – Sat 4/16
What could Cleveland look like if we shifted our taxpayer dollars away from war and militarization to meet human needs? Join together to map out plans to reinvest tax dollars in Greater Cleveland. The weekend will be packed w/ action: workshops, action-planning sessions, street theatre, musical entertainment and more. It will be kinda like Cleveland’s own Social Forum.
Times are tough, especially for the ever-expanding working class. Assistance is being cut left and right, yet about 50% of the discretionary Federal budget goes to militarism and war. It’s time to bring our tax dollars home. It’s time to save our communities… because no one else is going to do it. This event is the perfect opportunity to share our ideas, invite each other into our struggles, envision a better future, and organize action campaigns to make our visions become reality!
On Fri 4/15 there will be a parade, rally and an evening of music, musings and mayhem @ Public Square. Then, on Sat 4/16, join the Saturday Community Forum @ Trinity Cathedral. Books not bombs! Jobs not jails! Families not foreclosures! It’s time to take a stand.
