Mike Watt + The Missingmen @ Grog Shop

Mon 4/11 @ 8PM

Mike Watt is an art-punk legend. Mike, who’s been Iggy & The Stooges’ bassist for the past eight years, is hitting the road for the “north american hyphenated-man tour 2011.” The tour stops in Cle Hts on Mon 4/11 with The Lawton Brothers and Restless Habs.

About the tour: “‘hyphenated-man’ is the name of mike watt’s third opera, contemplating the engine room (1997) being the first one and the secondman’s middle stand (2004) being the second. He expressly put together the missingmen (on guitar: tom watson and on drums: raul morales) for this project a couple of years ago and now (with the mastering by john golden), it has now been realized, recorded at tony maimone’s Studio G in Brooklyn Spring of 2009. It’s the first release on watt’s clenchedwrench label.”
