Pieces included in the show will be from his popular Cityscape Series, Abandoned Series, and End of Industry Series. Scott will also be unveiling a new series of works, the Layered Series, where he has overlapped images of Cleveland’s past, its current landscape, and the missed opportunities of further development to the city’s skyline. In this new body of work, Scott creates a visual story depicting the city’s evolution.
In his midtown studio, Scott uses the techniques of glass painting, engraving, fusing, and slumping; all to pieces of copper. After the works have been fired, exaggerated color and texture are revealed, which brings forth an unseen beauty in the cityscape subject matter that his works are based on.
