Yes, yes, y’all! The Beachland’s phenomenally popular polka brunch is back… as it is every month. The “most feared and powerful group in polka today,” The Chardon Polka Band [pictured], will play as you munch on hashbrowns and scrambled eggs/tofu. The price of admission also includes a special polka dance class w/ world dance champion Valerie Salstrom from Get Hep Swing.

Founded in 2003 by sixteen year old Jake Kouwe, THE CHARDON POLKA BAND continues the rich polka tradition of Northeast Ohio. The band plays traditional polka and sometimes morphs into punk-rock renditions of the same song. In the small town of Chardon, Ohio, long haired Jake Kouwe and his oom-pah gang are nearly celebrities. This hard working band are among the area’s most recognizable performers at parks, festivals, parades, and fund-raisers. The polka band has a faithful fan base, ranging from senior citizens to small children, teens, and twenty-somethings.
