The Cleveland music scene was devastated when Michael LoConti, the drummer for one of Cleveland’s fastest rising young rock. Bands, LoConti, died in an auto accident in February 2025. He was just 24 years old.

Looking for a way to find solace, his grieving family, led by his parents Lisa and Henry LoConti, created the Music LoConti Music Foundation to use musical resources to help others in similar situations work through their own grief.

We Play On, taking place at the Treelawn Music Hall in the Waterloo Arts District, benefits the foundation and Kent’s Standing Rock Culture Arts and celebrates the lives of Michael LoConti and his friend, John C. Love, also 24, who died the following day. The event features a full roster of musicians, including Henry LoConti III, Michael’s brother and frontman/guitarist for LoConti; Erin Donovan, LoConti vocalist/percussionist; Chris Lugo; Sabby; Anne Marie; Brian Paskey; Mike Rellick; and Marie & the Restaurant.
